Microbiology Technician - Ely - Circa 15K
Based in Ely a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Microbiologist to work with one of the UK's leading independent analysis and consultancy service providers in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, water and environmental sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to join an expanding pharmaceutical microbiology department. Performing standard microbiological tests to customer specific methods and according to the European Pharmacopoeia, including microbial limit testing, bioburden and preservative efficacy testing, disinfectant testing, endotoxin testing and antibiotic assays.
Candidates with a Degree, A levels or GCSE or equivalent qualifications in a scientific discipline will be considered. The laboratory is rapidly expanding its customer base and the range of analyses offered - opportunity exists for exceptional candidates to develop their experience in pharmaceutical microbiology and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Ideal candidates will have:
§ Degree, A levels or GCSE qualifications in a scientific discipline.
§ Ability to use own initiative.
§ Good communication skills and an ability to accurately follow methods to regulatory standards.
§ Previous laboratory experience in microbiological analysis preferred
§ The ability to work alone and as part of a team in a busy environment
